Every year Costa Rica’s popularity on being a favorite place for couples around the world for their Destination Beach Wedding has been increasing year after year. Why? The answer is simple; Costa Rica has to offer too much for couples that are looking for more direct contact with nature, adventure, and feeling like being in a paradise surrounded by stunning beach environments. The Guanacaste province, which is over the pacific coast, offers a variety of options, especially in Papagayo Gulf. This Costa Rica Wedding Venue is located just 12 miles (19-minute ride) from the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, the second most important airport in Costa Rica. These are some of the reasons Karen & Mario choose to celebrate a El Mangroove Beach Wedding. Although they are both Costa Ricans, they have been living in Barcelona, Spain, for many years because of their medical studies. When they decided to get married, they wanted their Wedding to be bold and fabulous, and obviously in Costa Rica, so their family and friends could celebrate alongside them in a unique place. They start planning their wedding way ahead because they wanted it to be in the summer in February, which is in the middle of the Wedding season is Costa Rica.
Our full-day coverage for their Wedding started with their getting ready on their beautiful, comfortable, and well light suites (if you want to know more about our Wedding Coverages you should check our Pricing Page). Then we get into the ceremony in one of the El Mangroove Hotel beachfront areas near the main pool, starting it at 4:00 pm, which is an ideal time for the ceremony to start. At that time, the weather is nicer, and you would have a beautiful directional light. And also, because they wanted their portrait session to be done at sunset, which around 5:30 pm.
The first part of their Wedding Reception started in an open garden where the couple wanted a rustic and natural decoration with wooden tables and chairs with succulent flowers that were also in the Ceremony décor. After the toast, Karen & Mario were ready for their first dance and the first set of dancing. After that and before Dinner, we take some funny group shots using our lightning techniques.
After Dinner, the party moves to the big ballroom, which is right in front of the garden they were before. And the party was really on from the start!
